World Bee DayWorld Bee Day is celebrated on May 20. On this day Anton Janša, the pioneer of beekeeping, was born in 1734. The purpose of the international day is to acknowledge the role of bees and other pollinators for the ecosystem.

ERA-NET SusAn mid-term Seminar

Successful transnational research was demonstrated by the 14 projects which are funded via ERA-NET SusAn’s first co-funded call at its mid-term project seminar. More than 100 researchers from over 20 countries work together in the co-funded SusAn projects which are supported with a total of 16 Mio. € of national and EU funds. On 10th & 11th April 2019 the Dutch Ministry of Agriculture, Nature and Food Quality hosted the mid-term seminar which took place at the University of Wageningen, the Netherlands.

2018 Joint Call Announcement - update 02/11 Canada joins as funder! Updated Call Announcement available

The three European research initiatives ERA-NET Cofund SusAn, ERA-NET Cofund FACCE ERA-GAS and ERA-NET ICT-AGRI 2 are pleased to announce the publishment of the Call Announcement of its' Joint Call on “Novel technologies, solutions and systems to reduce the greenhouse gas emissions in animal production systems”. The overall objective of the 2018 Joint Call is to contribute to the development of novel technologies, solutions and systems to reduce the GHG intensity of animal production systems (excluding aquaculture or fur animals) in Europe and beyond.

Results of the 2nd Joint workshop now online

Following the Joint workshop of 2016 in Potdam Germany, a second Joint Workshop between FACCE ERA-GAS, ERA-Net SusAn & ICT-AGRI 2 was organised on 20-21 February 2018 in Dublin Ireland. The theme of the workshop was "Smart Mitigation of GHG Emissions from Livestock Production". The results of this workshop including the presentations given is now online and can be reached via this link
